Many state and county governments are releasing plans to reopen the economy to essential businesses. While this is an encouraging sign, please know this process will be thoughtfully considered at The Glenview at Pelican Bay (The Glenview). We are implementing a multi-phased approach reopening our community. As we serve vulnerable adults throughout our community, to date, all Glenview independent living residents have received their COVID-19 vaccinations. The Glenview was the first senior living community in the Naples area to receive the vaccine. We continue to base decisions for each phase on state and regional criteria, advice from public health officials, and the health status of our community. We will evaluate how we shift our protocols after we know our community is no longer at risk, and with careful consideration of the guidance offered by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and local and state health departments. We want to keep you informed regarding what services are re-opened and our policies on visitors to the community.

The Glenview at Pelican Bay service updates and visitor policies are as follows:

  • Currently, The Glenview at Pelican Bay is accepting visitors into the independent residence community.
  • Premier Place skilled nursing and rehab health center is accepting visitors for our guests by appointment only.  Please call to set up an appointment.
  • Vendors are allowed to provide repairs/renovations.
  • All employees are required to wear face masks, social distance, use frequent hand-washing hygiene, as well as testing of temperature and O2 saturation and answering of a series of questions regarding travel and how they are feeling prior to each work shift. All employees are COVID tested weekly.
  • All residents of The Glenview are required to wear facing masks in the common areas and social distance.
  • The Glenview has limited community activities such as exercise in groups of less than 20 people. The pool is open to residents only and a limited number of residents are allowed in the pool at a time.
  • The Dining Room is open to residents.
  • Video tours of our community and for-sale apartments are being utilized.
  • In-person tours of our community and for-sale apartments are available upon request.  All potential buyers must make an appointment in advance and will be screened; temperature check and screening questions, on the date of their appointment. We are pleased to be able to open our “for-sale apartments” to interested buyers.  Masks are required at all times at The Glenview.

In the upcoming weeks, and until further notice, The Glenview will continue to follow the heightened precautionary measures currently in place. These practices include following social distancing protocols, wearing masks, and visitation restrictions. We understand the risks posed to our community from COVID-19 and remain committed to our processes. As the situation evolves, and we make changes to our protocols, residents, employees and families will be notified first. We will work to keep you informed via our website.
